Renes. Lancaster, 27th October.
Over the past years as a member of Issue, the fashion society at Lancaster University, I have noticed a tendency among students to link fashion to an exclusive, selective, and almost elitist community only a few snobbish had the privilege to be part of. Funny thing is I have never experienced such diversity, inclusivity and creative support as in most of our events.
Last Thursday 27th of October, we had the pleasure to collaborate with Renes, a local store in Lancaster town. Members of our society had the opportunity to participate as models for the runway, and we got the chance to get to know the owners and learn about owning a fashion business. Between a couple (if not more) glasses of sparkling wine, laughter and familiar faces, the presentation of the Renes' new collection turned out to be a success.
With no doubt, the best memory I took home was all those new faces and their shiny eyes, full of joy and excitement over a shared passion: the art expression and uniqueness.
